ABOUT

Jennifer L. Camp, originally from New Jersey, earned a B.A. in Dance at Arizona State University with an emphasis on Dance Education and Dance Science and an M.F.A. in Dance from the University of California, Irvine.

Recognized as a dynamically diverse performer, encouraging educator, and innovative choreographer, Jennifer has over twenty-five years of professional experience in the field.

Since 2003, Jennifer has directed the dance program at Pacific University. In 2004, she founded Pacific Dance Ensemble, a preprofessional university dance company, and established a thriving Dance Major in 2011. She is an active Independent choreographer/dancer presenting work in dance festivals and concerts throughout the United States.

Jennifer is a Franklin Method Educator and will complete level 3 in 2023. She has completed Pilates Mat and Reformer course certification and is in-progress to completing Slings Myofascial Teacher Certification Foundation Level.

 

She actively participates in somatic courses and conferences to stay up-to-date with the current somatic practices, including workshops through Anatomy Trains and Functional Awareness, among others.

As a dance educator, she integrates a fusion of somatic practices in teaching Healthy Practices for Dancers workshops and in her courses.

Jennifer is passionate about educating dancers on maintaining healthy minds and bodies so they can have sustaining dance careers and fulfilling lives.
